Police personnel patrol on a pathway along the seashore ahead of the landfall of Cyclone Michaung, in Puducherry. Heavy rains caused due to Michaung has resulted in severe waterlogging in several parts of the city such as Maduravoyal, Porur, Saligaramam, and Valasaravakkam. Commuters seen venturing out during heavy rain owing to Cyclone Michaung, in Chennai on Sunday. Due to flooding in Kilyar Bridge near Madhuranthakam, transport to ten villages has been affected. Mahabalipuram-Chengalpattu road is completely flooded and traffic has been cut off.(PTI)

Thiruvallur District Collector Prabhushankar visited the NDRF camp in the location and briefed the team about the impeding Cyclone Michaung and preparedness, in Thiruvallur on Saturday. Cyclone Michaung is anticipated to approach the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh, with the India Meteorological Department forecasting winds reaching up to 100 kilometers (62 miles) per hour. Moderate rains are expected in parts of the state, as well as in Tamil Nadu and Odisha on Monday, with heavy rainfall anticipated on Tuesday,(ANI)
