England opener Ben Duckett is fourth and has been pretty much the flag bearer of England's aggressive approach with the bat. Duckett has scored 314 runs at a strike rate of 93.17 in eight innings. A side effect of this style of batting has been that he has seldom been able to convert his starts, with one century and no half-centuries. (AP) expand-icon View Photos in a new improved layout

Duckett's opening partner Zak Crawley has arguably been the more consistent of the two. Crawley has 328 runs to his name thus far in eight innings with three half-centuries. (AFP) expand-icon View Photos in a new improved layout

Shubman Gill had a shaky start but has since come into his own in this series. He has scored a century and two half-centuries and earned plaudits from everywhere for the way he grinded his way to an unbeaten half-century in the second innings of the fourth Test to lead India to victory. He has scored 342 runs in eight innings. (AFP) expand-icon View Photos in a new improved layout

Yashasvi Jaiswal has been one of the most exciting young cricketers in the country for a few years now but this might just be remembered as the series where he cut his teeth. He has become the first Indian to score two double centuries in a series against England, doing so in the second and third Tests. Jaiswal has already scored 655 runs in this series at an average of 93.57 and a good strike rate of 78.63 and is very much en route to breaking the record for most runs by an Indian in a single Test series, currently held by Sunil Gavaskar who had scored 774 runs against the West Indies in 1970/71.  (AFP) expand-icon View Photos in a new improved layout
