However, for a seamless integration of AI, significant governance reforms are essential to ensure that these technologies are effectively and ethically implemented.
AI in education is more than just a technological advancement; it represents a fundamental shift in how education can be delivered, consumed, and managed. It enables the creation of personalised learning paths tailored to individual student needs, strengths, and weaknesses. This can significantly enhance student engagement and outcomes.
AI can bridge the gap in educational access, especially in remote and underserved areas. With AI-driven online learning platforms, quality education can reach students regardless of their geographical location. It can automate administrative tasks such as grading, attendance tracking, and scheduling, allowing educators to focus more on teaching and mentoring students. AI can help mitigate this by providing supplementary teaching resources and automating administrative tasks.
For AI to be effectively integrated into the Indian education system, comprehensive governance reforms are essential. These reforms should focus on policy framework, infrastructure development, teacher training, ethical considerations, and continuous evaluation.
